Upon inquiry by the court (ca. 1920) in 's-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands this name appeared to originate from Hungary. This is a person (schlager) by means of a gong (laut) announced the arrival of the king (ca. 1523). The name does not come from Germany as most thinks.
